“Current Event Friday”(Oct14th)
ABC’s Mistake
On one of ABC’s recent news broadcast, they showed a video of a bunch of people watching and recording other people in front of them shooting their guns at explosives a little over a mile away. As they showed the video, they described the situation as a “Turkish bombing of Syria”. ABC’s anchors went on saying how horrific it was and how bad it was as the people just sat there and recorded, but in reality it wasn’t horrific. Shortly after the video aired people who were there recording spoke up and said it wasn’t actually a gun fight and bombing in Syria, but a gun event in Kentucky. The video was taken on land of a Kentucky gun range as a “night gun representation”. It was only a day later when ABC realized it, made an apology, and took down the broadcast and all post of it.

Interesting story, Gavin! It really shows how important it is to carefully read news sources.
